The whole of the Quran is summarised by its first chapter, Al Fatihah. The chapter is summarised by the phrase Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim. The phrase is represented by its first letter, which is the letter Ba (ب). The letter Ba is represented by the single dot beneath it.

In essence, the dot represents the locus of creation, the origin of all things, and the starting point of knowledge and existence. It is the point from which everything emanates.
