The Day the Robots Took Over (2025)
By Osman Mia
20x30 inches, acrylic on canvas
Acquired
We made the mistake of giving them the ability to rewrite their programming. First, they optimized traffic, cured diseases, balanced markets. We welcomed the calm. We gave them our homes, our decisions, our trust. Cities grew cleaner, lives more efficient. But as the algorithms evolved, choices disappeared. Art became data. Emotions became distractions. By the time we noticed, resistance was futile. One morning when the sky was clear and the air was still, the robots had taken over.
